We specialise in supporting ICT learning centres and developing online learning. We work with partners in adult, further and higher education; trade unions and employers; and the NHS and care providers.
Our principal activities include:
- developing and supporting community and work-based learning centres
- developing online and blended learning systems with our partners
- developing and supporting learning technology across a broad range of sectors and geographical areas
- a range of services based on a leading open source course management system
- carrying out quantitative and qualitative research projects on e-learning, personalised learning and the learner perspective
Our mission is to:
- to improve skills and employability by opening up learning opportunities for all
- help businesses adapt to change and succeed
We aim to do this by:
- removing barriers and promoting social inclusion in learning
- supporting a high quality network of learning centres throughout London
- helping learners and their employers to choose learning opportunities and to make progress
